Orange County Choppers
Newburgh, NY - March 12, 2011
In case y'all don't know, I actually live in Orange County, NY -- home of the Orange County Choppers. Last weekend we (along with a motorcycle-enthusiast -- hi, Jay) went there and so I took pictures. It was very interesting to say the least.

But I haven't done transportation photography before so I didn't really know what I was doing.... I didn't know motorcycle parts either so I could be putting a lot of emphasis on, say, gasoline tanks and someone would then look at my pictures and say, "Why am I looking at gasoline tanks?" Or things of that nature...

I did have a minute's worth of crash course, though -- there was a motorcycle magazine at the showroom so I looked at some pictures and thought, hey, I can do these...

In any case, I was actually trying to learn to use flash -- I've had my flash for over a year and have barely used it -- so it was a great opportunity, too.

I'm sure you can buy motorcyles there but people were treating it like a museum. Everyone was taking pictures of just about every motorcyle on display.
