Otisville July 4th Fireworks

This whole barn will soon become Roeder's Ark Veterinary Hospital. Mrs. Roeder was very hospitable. She kept excusing herself as she was going to “get the cake” but always ended up introducing us to one of her many children.

Her children, BTW, including the veterinarian-daughter, are within a few years our age. After taking in the sight of her daughter's barn from outside, she had what appeared to be the look of joy when she said, “...and we used to live in a small three-bedroom house.” I suppose any mother who had sent more than a few kids through college would quickly understand.
